As Salone Del Mobile has come to a close in Milan, take a closer look at what our brand-partners accomplished at the festival
Andreu World transformed their Milan showroom with focus on the future of design. Under “Manufacturing a Better World” the showroom highlighted the evolution of the company’s BIO® Thermopolymer — a biodegradable and compostable material made from recycled content, that is now available in a new colour palette by Patricia Urquiola.
Designer talks rounded out the week with thoughtful and inspiring topics, featuring Benjamin Hubert and Patricia Urquiola in conversation about the intersection of innovation, responsibility, and what it truly means to design for tomorrow.
Adotta Walls hosted a pop-up exhibit giving attendees an up-close look at their glass partition systems — a glimpse into spatial design shaped by sustainability, customization, and flexibility. Their demountable, fully customizable glass partition walls redefine how we think about the spaces we build — and the ones we can rebuild.
Gebrüder Thonet Vienna showcased the core of Continuum — a project redefining contemporaneity through clairty, lightness, and use. The products expressed GTV's legacy with present language, and an evolving identity.
Halcon unveiled newest product: the FERRA executive chair. Their garden aperitivo event at the Bulgari Hotel gave us a first glimpse of the new FERRA design, as well as a chance to connect with the team behind it.
Slalom hosted Elle Decor’s exhibition event: The Society of Objects, followed by a courtyard aperitivo.
Slalom also showcased their Soft Cubism installation in collaboration with Swedish colourist and designer: Teklan. The installation tackled the question: How can a space be perceived before it is fully understood? The answer created a space where colour, materials, and shapes speak as one.
Nikari came to the fair with three new products. The Akademia lounge, the newest addition to the Akademia series, featuring a generous lounge chair in solid oak and upholstery. The Centenniale Round, an all wood coffee table featuring century-old wood joining the Joana Laajisto’s existing coffee table family. And the Biennale Shimmer, a limited edition version of the Biennale Stool-table finished in a 100% bio-based structural colour that shifts with light and movement.
